With the growing demand for Electrical Engineers in government, public-sector, and private industries, the Department of Electrical Engineering makes every effort to develop highly skilled, knowledgeable, and capable engineers who can successfully meet the challenges of the modern technological world. The quality of academic instruction, practical training, conduct guidelines, and various college activities are designed to develop competent and successful electrical engineers. The department focuses on preparing students for professional careers in electrical power systems, electrical machines, control systems, renewable energy, industrial automation, and other emerging technologies.

To encourage extracurricular and technical activities, the Electrical Engineering Students' Association (EESA) has been established.
